When Marcia Miller and Linda Oshins tell stories about the ‘old days’ or what a lifetime of practice has given us, our listeners ask for more. Our experience represents a slice of the long history of yoga in this country and is peopled with fascinating characters. When we formed the Mid-Ohio Yoga Organization in 1998, all of the yoga teachers in Columbus could fit around one lunch table at the only vegetarian restaurant in town (5 of us plus Claudia from Mansfield who was the driving force behind the group). Just three years later, Yoga on High alone employed fourteen yoga teachers plus Marcia, Martha and Linda—an explosion of activity and professionalism. They’ve decided to offer a few on-line get-togethers during which they tell stories and answer questions. You might laugh or cry with their hilarious, wise, and sometimes heart breaking stories.

Linda and Marcia will regale you with stories of Yoga on High which they founded in 2001. For over two decades Yohi as we lovingly refer to it still, was such a force in the yoga world. In addition to hosting many of the most renowned teachers of the world, it was a woman-owned and mostly collaborative business. We all worked hard and many people had input into what happened there.

There will be some birth stories, some behind-the-scenes stories and lots of fun, hilarious, and touching memories to share. For this one, former co-owner Michele will ask interesting and insightful questions.
